This beautifully presented catamaran is fully set up for blue water or coastal cruising and living aboard, boasting a huge list of upgrades and extras that mean she is ready for new owners to set sail in comfort and safety today.
Perfect for entertaining and cruising with family and friends, Alba boasts four ensuited double cabins with extra accommodation available on the dropdown saloon table. The elevated helm position gives full 360-degree views when underway, while still being connected to the spacious cockpit that is perfect for alfresco dining.
She has been meticulously maintained with regular servicing of the engines, generator, sail drives, rigging and systems. All of the navigation equipment and much of the electronics has been replaced in the past two years.
The galley features a two drawer Vitrifrigo refrigerator, 100L Liebherr freezer and a 2022 Dometic CFX fridge / freezer. For cooking there is a 3-burner gas stove and oven, induction cooktop, a barbecue and microwave. A 2023 Bosch washing machine rounds out the creature comforts.
Self sufficiency at sea is assured with 2140w of solar panels, 800 Ah Lithium batteries, Victron Multiplus 3000w inverter and a 2023 SeaWater Pro 220V 20 gph watermaker.
The two Yanmar 39hp engines were lifted out and fully serviced in 2023 and the sail drives oil seals were replaced. The 76 square metre mainsail and 123 square metre gennaker were made in 2022 by the famous Danish sailmakers Elvstrøm.
Did we mention extras? She also comes with eight scuba tanks and eight full sets of diving equipment and a Bauer Junior II 400V compressor in to the front locker with a filling hose that runs aft to where the tanks are stored in a dive rack.
Alba has sailed in Europe, crossed the Atlantic, passed through the Panama Canal and crossed the Pacific and she now sits in French Polynesia waiting to set sail with new owners on board.
This is a reluctant sale by the Danish owners who have had the adventure of a lifetime onboard Alba, but are now heading home to ‘face the real world’.

For a modest sized cat it looks very roomy inside. The berths look nice too. 👍 I was looking up the plans for a Snell Easy catamaran and it looks like his website is down. Too bad. These are nice boats.

Beautiful interior finishing. Those round hatches are a pain to find custom window covers for shade, though.
Beautiful boat but how were you able to get a 1550 when they don't make that size?
Schionnings are not production molded boats but often custom builds with some design mods. They probably extended the transoms or bows on this build (my guess) and called it a 1550.

@@gwebster6600 I thought so. The 1550 isn't on their web site when other older designs are. I was thinking that the 1550 was a one off design because this is the only one that I've seen. I'd love to get the newest design of either the 1400C or 1500C G-Force but I would probably only be able to afford a used one or purchase an unfinished project boat. I was thinking of building one from a kit but I don't think I have the time to do that. I'd rather purchase a used one that needs some TLC. I've looked at all the other designs out there and Schionning has the looks that I'm most interested in. When I purchase, I will be only looking at the Schionning design.

What a gimmicky piece of shit, 50ft long, and they can't fit in separated show stalls.
I like the plain work boat look of the outside but inside space is where they put the attention exposed outside cockpits are fun in the tropics but on long cold Atlantic passages this is ideal

Beautiful Yacht - great overview by Mark - Just a suggestion - the rear lockers near the end of the video, you should consider having the covers open higher to avoid bumping heads and/or forcing you to step back toward the water to get underneath the cover doors.
